Rocket releases new single Act Like Your Title

 

Rocket recently announced their highly anticipated debut album, R is for Rocket, due out Oct 3rd. 

Today, they’ve shared the album’s second single, the euphoric and sparkling “Act Like Your Title.” The song “delves into familial relationships and generational traumas,” shares vocalist and bassist Alithea Tuttle, “It’s wishing someone would live up to the standards that are set for them but knowing that they will never ‘act like their title.’ Holding out hope that someone will change, especially family, is such a difficult concept and can feel so isolating.”

Greg Freeman signs to Transgressive / Canvasback

  ‘ I Looked Out ’ is the debut album from Vermont’s finest, Greg Freeman. Having recently signed with Canvasback / Transgressive Records, his critically acclaimed debut album is being re-released today, complete with two bonus tracks. On 17th January 2025, the album will also be released for the first ever on vinyl. This reissue features a new rendition of “Long Distance Driver (Acoustic),” which includes a special collaboration with Merce Lemon. Speaking about the track, Greg says “I wrote this song a few years ago, when the world was entering a scary and uncertain time, and hope seemed fleeting and very far in the distance. The song is about wanting to find connection in such a world. In a way, it feels like an old song to me at this point, but that place of uncertainty feels even more pronounced than when I wrote it. Rocket signs to Transgressive /Canvasback

Rocket share new single “ Take Your Aim .” The blistering new track was written shortly after the release of their 2023 debut EP Versions of You , and will appear on the tracklist of the newly reissued EP, available on vinyl & CD for the first time via Transgressive Records / Canvasback, out April 18th. The track is about “the indignant response to feeling misunderstood or taken advantage of by someone but not being able to confront them about it,”   says the band’s Alithea Tuttle , “It’s about a friendship that was built upon them taking more than they give and watching the friendship grow sour as time goes on.
